The ALF Community Advisory Team was formed in 2019 by the merger of the Ashby Legacy Fund and Ashby Community Club. The Ashby Legacy Fund is a non profit organization supporting the Ashby community, Ashby Public School, and scholarships for Ashby graduates. The Community Advisory Team of the ALF focuses its activities to support the growth and vitality of Ashby, MN, by hosting community events, sponsoring local projects, and promoting economic development. Funding for the Ashby Legacy Fund comes from donations, student-led fundraisers, and the annual Ashby Appreciations Days 5K.
The Community Advisory Team meets several times a year, and all meetings are open to the public. In addition to working on various projects to promote our small town businesses and improve the quality of life in Ashby, the Community Advisory Team organizes the Trunk or Treat on Main Street event on Halloween, the annual Santa Day on the first Saturday in December, and the annual Appreciation Days community festival on the 3rd weekend in July.
